Godfrey participates in GHI Umaganda on January 4, 2018.

A: I like when we are in enrollment receiving mothers and kids, I like to see how the mothers are very confidence in us , thanking us for seeing the problem their children are suffering from. They have confidence in us, and I like to be someone who can solve the problem of another. I also like the Turi Kumwe fund. The cases the Turi Kumwe fund serves, vulnerable and sick people. I like hearing from those mothers appreciating what GHI contributes to them, to see their testimonies, and I feel like GHI has contributed to their communities.

Q: How did you begin working with GHI?

A: I began working with GHI in 2013, I had come from a Canadian NGO called Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT Rwanda). I saw an advertisement calling for the data entry clerk at GHI and that’s how I started, I was promoted to Associate and now to Data Manager.

Q: What does GHI mean to you?

A: GHI means a lot to me. GHI means first of all a family to me. Family that cares, family with members who are bonded, a family with members who act committed to their work.
